Forever Young Luncheon

Will be held in the Morris Center on Tuesday, September 14 at 12:00 noon. Please plan to check in at 11:45 a.m. so we may begin to serve promptly. Our featured speaker will be Yvonne Nunes who has an extensive background in teaching within the Sacramento area in the Western Placer School District . Yvonne is also the author of a new book Our Little Miracle which is newly published. She will have copies of the book with her and would be delighted to sign one for you at time of purchase. Yvonne wants to invite you to look into the remarkable story behind the most important medical event in the twentieth century.

St Vincent de Paul – fundraiser dinner at St. Clare

Honoring Fr Michael Cormack

St Clare is hosting a fundraiser for St Vincent de Paul (SVDP) Society with a catered dinner on Saturday, September 25, at 6:00 p.m. in the Morris Hall. This fundraiser will help people regardless of creed, opinions, color, caste or origin. The SVDP Society is an international, non-profit organization that provides social services to people in need. SVDP is inspired by the philosophy and works of its patron, St Vincent de Paul. Parishioners are encouraged to attend. Come, celebrate the 27th anniversary of the Roseville Chapter of SVDP with Fr Michael Cormac, who is a founding member.

Tickets are $40 each or 2 for $75 ($45 at the door). Catering is again provided by Aubergine. Choice of flank steak with chimichurri sauce, stuffed chicken breast, or vegetarian pasta. For tickets call Pam at 470-9768, Visa/Mastercard accepted.

Luncheon will be held in the Morris Center on Tuesday, July 13. We ask that you check in by 11:45 a.m. so that we may begin serving at noon. Our speaker will be from the Maidu Center who will be telling us about the programs available for seniors and their families. Kate Miller will be giving us some background on Maidu and promises to have an interesting program for us. We are asking for Membership Renewals as of July 1, which is $10. If you are not yet a member, you can save on your luncheon costs during the year. Cost of lunch for members is $6 and $7 for guests. As a member, you receive a courtesy call each month as a reminder of the lunch which is also a benefit. Please make your reservation by calling Carol at 780-1655 or Arlene at 772-6061.

7-12th grade Faith Formation Registration

The Faith Formation 7-12 Grade Ministry offers four different classes to answer the needs of the families in our Parish. Seventh Graders meet weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Confirmation class also meets weekly on Wednesday nights but from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. And finally, we offer a Sacrament Preparation and/or RCIA Adapted for Children class for the youth who need to receive Baptism and/or First Reconciliation, and/or First Communion. Please contact the office for more information about the program.

Registration Information for 2010-2011

Registration for youth entering 7^th or higher grade in September 2010 will start on Monday, July 12^th and will be by appointment only. Please call Agnes at 772-4717 ext.114 to schedule your appointment. Slots will be available, Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., starting on July 12^th until July 29^th. Open Registration will also be available on Sundays, August 1^st and August 8^th in the Morris Hall after all Masses. After August 8^th, registration will be by appointment only and will close on August 26^th. Confirmation preparation starts in the 8^th grade, and a copy of the baptismal certificate is required at the time of registration. The Confirmation Preparation fee is $130 and covers the costs of the retreat, the Diocesan Conference, guest speaker presentations, and the materials used in class. The fee for the 7^th grade class as well as the Sacrament Preparation and/or RCIA class is $80.

Faith Formation Tuition Guidelines

In an attempt to make the process of tuition for Faith Formation registration more convenient, we have arranged to take VISA and MASTERCARD for these expenses. This will begin within the next month. Parents wishing to register children in Faith Formation classes K-12 for the upcoming year, must have any balances of outstanding tuition fees paid first. If there is a need for financial assistance for the upcoming year, please fill out paperwork which will be provided to you upon request. There are a limited amount of scholarship funds available. If you have further questions, please contact Florence Kurttila in the Parish Office.

Young Adult Ministry- Upcoming Events

June 1: West Placer Deanery young adult planning meeting at 7:30pm at Peet’s by The Fountains. Come help us plan our programs.

June 6: Adults with young familiesat 10:00am in the Morris Hall. Parents will sharing scripture in the Lectio Divina process while the children are with some of our teenager’s playing and praying together. Light refreshments will be provided

June 11: West Placer Deanery “Ice Cream” party & speaker at 7:00pm at St. Peter & Paul in Rocklin. More details about the speaker will be available next week.

Forever Young Luncheon – May

The next Forever Young luncheon is May 11 in the Morris Hall. Please sign in by 11:45 a.m. so we may start promptly at noon. A square of St Clare square dancers will perform a demonstration of modern dancing which was voted as the national folk dance. Learn the history of square dancing and see the colorful attire of our dancers in their finery. You’ll be tapping your feet! Luncheon cost is $6 for members and $7 for guests.
